Well, as much as it would be nice to have life slow down a little, it hasn't! So here comes a big long blog post to share all the stuff that has been going on this summer!
As most of you know, my sister emily is having a baby! She is due on July 25th, so not too far away! We have been anxiously waiting for the arrival of our soon to be Lucy Michele Standing! In preparation for this we have had 4 (yes, 4) baby showers! It has been so fun to see how excited everyone is for her and all the cute things that the 2 of them were spoiled with! Emily has worked long and hard sewing cute bumpers for her crib, and i made a cute quilt for the crib that i was able to surprise her with at the last baby shower! Lucy is already so loved and we can't wait to be able to have her here with us! As of last thursday she was weighing in at about 6 lbs. 14 oz. so she will be a fair sized baby! This will be my very first niece and is going to be the first grandbaby for my mom and emily's mother-in-law! I can't wait to meet her and be her favorite aunt!
Along with the baby coming, we also have a wedding in the family! Amy is engaged!
Here is the cute couple:

Haha not the best picture, but oh well! We are so excited to have Randy as a new addition to the family! It has been crazy trying to get everything ready for the wedding! They got engaged about mid-may and are getting married on July 19th. Amy is in nursing school and couldn't possibly have a wedding when she was in school so they had to just get it over with fast. It has meant a lot of work for all of us, but it will be well worth it! I can't wait to see them married and living happily as a married couple.
Saturday, the 2nd was a very exciting day! Me and my two friends, Vince and Bryan, went skydiving :] it was SUCH a thrill! I just want to do it again, and again, and again! Its definitely an experience i will never forget!
Here are some of the pictures i got:
Here i am all suited up and ready to go
Isn't the plane so nice all taped together?
I panicked for a second
Here goes nothing...
The jump
plummeting at 110 mph
what a thrill
don't know why he covered my eyes?
i had such a blast!
the great view i had
when he pulled the shute
almost landing
the graceful landing!
Oh my gosh it was SO much fun! I definitely recommend going! You won't regret it!
Then to top this day off i got to go to the Stadium of Fire!

I have never been before, so it was such a blast! I got to see the lovely Brad Paisley

Man, i love him!
Then the fireworks were AMAZING!
There are few things i love more than fireworks! The fourth of July is my favorite holiday! I hope you all have a wonderful 4th and be safe out there!
